I remember Julia and I heckling it for other reasons, but I've thankfully blasted them from my head. In fact, it's one of the few movies -- maybe the only one -- that I feel ashamed for talking Julia into seeing, because I'd heard from people it was good. People like YOU, I might add.Chris La Trayhttp://chrislatray.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6521157837952822124.post-55394680413206063872015-03-31T13:29:26.795-07:002015-03-31T13:29:26.795-07:00Chris - I borrowed from Netflix and loaded on the ...Chris - I borrowed from Netflix and loaded on the iPad, but have not been able to make myself watch yet. I have heard nothing but good things about the movie (and Neeson, for that matter), but I'm having issues with the age-old "I don't see X as Y" bit and Neeson is just so far afield from how Scudder lives in my head I'm being a weenie about it.

I really appreciated the first Taken movie for several reasons. It was down and dirty and did what it came to do and got it. It didn't drag things on for two hours, but was screaming action from start to finish, about 1;30 later. Perfect. Also, it didn't ruin the whole damn thing with some stupidly contrived love interest. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for love, but my shorts naturally torque when it's added just because someone didn't think a movie could stand without it.Malcolm Avenue Reviewhttp://malcolmavenuereview.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6521157837952822124.post-20431017788610575242015-03-30T19:47:25.985-07:002015-03-30T19:47:25.985-07:00Did you see the Scudder movie with Liam Neeson? Nice to see him bounce back, even if he DID make another dreadful Taken movie. Which I didn't see, nor do I need to to know it's awful.Chris La Trayhttp://chrislatray.com/noreply@blogger.com
